Hola! Salut! Hello!

Ahh, how refreshing. The idea of starting a new project makes my eyes shine like the sparkles on these shoes; but as happy as I was when the idea of having a blog popped into my mind, I felt rather insecure- What should I blog about? What should I call it? Am I  officially going to be a hipster if I have a blog? should I post in English or Spanish?.... then a voice in the back of my mind said 'Who cares!'
The name of this blog reflects what I love to be surrounded with - old things. Anachronism, as defined by wikipedia is "an inconsistency in some chronological arrangement, especially a chronological misplacing of persons, events, objects, or customs in regard to each other." I am intrigued by the stories behind the objects in thrift and vintage shops. And I believe that the last thing out planet needs right now is a bigger demand to make more products, which is why I would rather 'reuse' than buy new things. Plus design and quality used to be so awesome!
Anyway, here is my first post. I was bored yesterday and I decided to take pictures of ma maison. Come on in!
The parasols on the ceiling are a result of a sudden obsession [i bought 5 of them in 2 days] and drinking too much coffee. I installed these three, one in the kitchen and painted my bathroom all by myself in less than 4 hours. I can be a real loca sometimes.

I love this chair! I got it on Craigslist for a reeeeaally good price. And it works!

I am in the middle of remodeling, I will be painting the living room soon, and hopefully I will be able to find a print of the picture below to go on one of the walls. I would feel invincible if I looked at it every time I left my apartment. They just warm my little heart. Sigh.
